GODEBY it’s…

1. In the Beginning: GODEBY was born from our shared passion for languages and their teaching. With 12 years of experience in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) to expatriates, our founder and director, Isabelle, decided to share her experience and expertise with a broader audience by creating the company. This is where our collective adventure began. We are all dedicated to helping everyone speak a foreign language well and enjoy the benefits of it. Since 2020, we have been offering courses in French, English, German, Italian, and Spanish.

2. Our Vision: Our foremost and primary motivation is to enable everyone to learn and express themselves in a foreign language, thereby living their lives at a different level with new possibilities. We build bridges beyond the incompatible. We work every day to ensure that language and culture are no longer barriers. To achieve this, we have established our core values: GODEBY is founded on 5 values embraced by every team member. These values align perfectly with our vision and our profession: FLEXIBILITY, LISTENING, RESPECT, QUALITY, and LOYALTY. These values are fundamental and essential to our work with you. 3. Methods and Pedagogy: We’ve tried it all—literally. First for ourselves, as we are all polyglots, and then for our students and learners. Here, we offer the most tailored and effective service to help you express yourself and communicate in the language of your choice. From our experience, the best and most efficient way to learn is through private (1-to-1) lessons with an excellent teacher or coach who can adapt to the learner, much like Aristotle and his student Alexander the Great. Next, it’s about selecting learning techniques that match your most effective way of learning. We all have our own tricks for learning and methods that don’t work. Imagine your teacher using your strengths to make the effort less demanding and the learning process easier and more effective. That’s what we do.

Our method is always active: you learn by speaking. This is about a living language, not Latin translations. You learn and improve by producing your own sentences, making mistakes, then avoiding them, and progressing in a safe and pleasant environment.
The format, support, and content of our lessons and meetings change based on your needs, goals, and preferences. And it’s you who decides: with or without grammar, with or without (written) homework—everything is tailored for you and at your pace. Most importantly, we start at your actual level. The result? Lessons that are far more relevant, enjoyable, effective, and deliver better results.
All our teachers and coaches are native speakers of the target language, which ensures better understanding and transmission of the language.

4. The Courses: Our programs and packages are already customized. Made in-house, they were created based on the recommendations of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and tailored to the language needs in the country of residence. Custom and bespoke. We have a 100% success rate in exams (across all types) and a 95% client satisfaction rate. All our programs include optional “talks,” which are oral activities with a teacher who guides you. Talking, talking, talking—that’s the key. And it’s perfect because we’re here to listen, correct you with care, and guide you!

5. Your Goals: As adults, we each have our own reasons for learning a foreign language. We work with you to address each of these reasons.
Integration: Traveling and living in a foreign country requires adapting to new and different experiences and, in some cases, accepting a certain degree of personal change. At GODEBY, we strive to ensure that language is not a barrier and we support you in understanding and integrating into your host country. We provide advice based on good practices and introduce you to the culture of your host country through its history, cuisine, nature, monuments, and community. Name your needs and interests, and we will present you with what suits you best! We are ready!
Professional Goals: Speaking a foreign language in your professional field is not easy and comes with its own challenges. You never have the exact same confidence when expressing yourself in a foreign language, so: making a good impression, taking responsibility, completing tasks and assignments, making decisions and communicating them, sometimes even leading a team or exerting authority—all represent additional challenges. We offer specific courses to help you achieve the level needed to master the target language and culture, enabling you to excel in your role, and improving your professional relationships and communication for better results.
Work Performance: Once you have mastered a language sufficiently to perform your job and responsibilities, you may seek to improve your performance or take on a new challenge: obtaining a better position, exercising authority within a team, speaking publicly, or achieving better results. In this case, we offer linguistic coaching sessions to work on all levels and meet all your needs.
We support you individually at each stage of your career and projects, whatever they may be, and regardless of your field or position.

6. Communication: At GODEBY, excellent communication is at the heart of everything we do, whether it’s internal or with our clients. It is crucial for us to succeed and achieve great projects together. We often say that we want your success even more than you do, whether it’s in language learning or in realizing your personal and professional projects. What could be more natural after language courses than offering communication services to help you achieve your goals? That’s what we provide, with a range of services for idea development and action planning to solve problems.

7. Education: We are all convinced of the importance of education and schooling and their impact on life. A successful education provides a child with fulfillment and equips them with strong skills for their future as an adult. Whatever the changes and challenges of tomorrow, we know that their success depends on the richness and quality of those involved. Educating well is an investment in the future. For these reasons, we have established a private tutoring service that complements the school curriculum, whether it be private or public, for all academic subjects and beyond. We offer support courses for students facing difficulties, discovery courses to ignite a passion for knowledge and success in children and teenagers, and excellence courses because a gifted student should never be held back in their development. Everyone can always progress, improve, and go further, at any age.
Of course, we also offer language courses to help your children master a language better and become bilingual early and quickly. Upon request, we can also provide courses that are not part of the standard curriculum.

8. Exams: Taking an exam should ideally be optional. But life often works differently, so we have developed a transferable methodology to ensure you succeed in the exam of your choice, whether it’s a language exam or something else. Together, we set the goals based on the exam criteria, and we create your program according to the timeline. From there, we support you with courses, coaching sessions, and activities to provide you with the best conditions for success.
We also assist teenagers in preparing for their school diplomas (Baccalaureate, IB, Graduation, etc.) and even university exams (upon request). Our team is composed of multilingual individuals who are graduates of top universities in Europe and around the world. Thanks to a customized approach and carefully selected and crafted materials, we can offer you the best service for learning without the constraints of a traditional school. This is how we have maintained a 100% exam success rate (across all exams) for several years.

9. Innovation: Our unparalleled approach and our constant desire to find the best solutions for learning better, faster, more effectively, and in a fun and enjoyable way naturally lead us toward innovation. What haven’t we done yet? What can we do differently, and how? GODEBY is part of the EdTech world. We are already using AI to optimize our course materials, and we are currently developing a product that will enable you to learn and achieve better results through the use of technology.
